Week 12 marked the end of the module and our final deadline. The major problem I have during Hand In is that to scramble and send me into an almighty panic where I begin to delete and redo pieces of work. Luckily for me, I managed to keep myself together.
Final Submission
At the beginning of week 12, I had my final report completed. All that was left for me to do was to complete the concept art piece I had been working on and double check that I had not forgot to include anything.
My final report also contained links to my website and a link directly to the University Work section. Now that everything is submitted, I begin the nervous wait for my final marks.

Final Render
For my final render of my model, I thought to give a better idea of my design I should do 2 renders which will include a different angle of the model.
I mainly wanted to make sure that the glass section of the model was visible in both shots as I wanted that to be a main feature of my design.

Final Thoughts
This module has been a real test for me as whenever creating an art piece, I never really take that time to assess fully what I am creating. I usually have my idea and go full steam ahead. Having to keep a weekly progress blog as part of our assignment has helped me to take more notice of what I am doing and also take that time to understand why a certain aspect of the piece did not work with the other elements.
If I had to do this again I think I would take a little more time to understand fully what was being asked of us. During the Final Progress Review I noticed that others were doing a World Design which made me doubt everything I was doing and was concerned that it wasn’t good enough. I’m happy that this happened at such a late stage as I knew at that point it was far too late to start again and to do so would have most likely seen me coming to submission day with nothing.
Plans For The Summer?
My plan for the summer break is to try and advance my art skills and my knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3Ds Max and also gain a little bit of beginners knowledge of ZBrush.
I will also be continuing Art School which I mentioned in a previous blog post.
I’m hoping that by the end of the summer, my skills have advanced enough to not hold me back during the 1st year video games art course.
