Week 6 marks the half way point of the assignment and is also the week of out second progress review. My personal task at this point is to make sure my blog is up to date and that I have made a decent amount of progress in my model.
Oh… Snow
Due to the amount of snow this week and the issues it has caused for students and tutors traveling, the university has been closed and the progress review has been postponed to Week 7. This gives a chance to fill in any gaps in my blog and be ready for next week.
Changes to the model
During the last couple of weeks I have spent more time designing the Island Counter. My favorite part of this so far is the two glass sections. I have tried to show them in this image.
I have also finished creating the sink and tap. Due to my own mess up early on in the model, I had to redo the counter top to make sure it fits with the sink area.
I also finally remembered to add a counter top to the other side. I had forgot about this after focusing more on getting the main counter and the island counter modeled.
Week 7 Plans
For week 7 my main focus should be on finalizing my design and start thinking about the texturing process. I have also planned time for tutorials.
